New gossip from St Lucia with Amy Winehouse often hit the headlines. But this one had to
This time, her house in St Lucia is getting a chemical bomb as it’s become infested with fleas!
Apparently, the singer - while she is supposed to ‘make her new album’ - has been dragging every stray dog she can find on the beach back to her rented villa.
Of course, the dogs’ fleas have moved in too and there’s a risk of them spreading to neighbouring homes on the Cotton Bay Village developement.
The village’s owners have now seen red though and brought in the tropical equivalent of Rentokill to eradicate the infestation and have imposed a pooch ban on Wino.

It is official,Michael Jackson, who took to the stage as a child star and set the world dancing to exuberant rhythms for decades, died on Thursday, TMZ website reported. He was 50.
“We’ve just learned Michael Jackson has died,” TMZ said.
“Michael suffered a cardiac arrest earlier this afternoon at his Holmby Hills home and paramedics were unable to revive him. We’re told when paramedics arrived Jackson had no pulse and they never got a pulse back”.
It added, “A source tells us Jackson was dead when paramedics arrived.”
Earlier, the Los Angeles Times said the singer had been rushed to a Los Angeles-area hospital by fire department paramedics who found him not breathing when they arrived at the singer’s home.
The newspaper said paramedics performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation at the scene before taking him to the UCLA Medical Center hospital.
Jackson had been due to start a series of comeback concerts in London on July 13 running until March 2010. The singer, whose hits included “Thriller” and “Billie Jean,” had been rehearsing in the Los Angeles area for the past two months.
The shows for the 50 London concerts sold out within minutes of going on sale in March.
His lifetime record sales tally is believed to be around 750 million, which, added to the 13 Grammy Awards he received, makes him one of the most successful entertainers of all time.
He lived as a virtual recluse since his acquittal in 2005 on charges of child molestation.
There were concerns about Jackson’s health in recent years but the promoters of the London shows, AEG Live, said in March that Jackson had passed a 4-1/2 hour physical examination with independent doctors.
CHILD STAR TO MEGASTAR
Jackson was born on August 29, 1958, in Gary, Indiana, the seventh of nine children. Five Jackson boys — Jackie, Tito, Jermaine, Marlon and Michael — first performed together at a talent show when Michael was 6. They walked off with first prize and went on to become a best-selling band, The Jackson Five, and then The Jackson 5.
Jackson made his first solo album in 1972, and released “Thriller” in 1982, which became a smash hit that yielded seven top-10 singles. The album sold 21 million copies in the United States and at least 27 million worldwide.
The next year, he unveiled his signature “moonwalk” dance move while performing “Billie Jean” during an NBC special.
In 1994, Jackson married Elvis Presley’s only child, Lisa Marie, but the marriage ended in divorce in 1996. Jackson married Debbie Rowe the same year and had two children, before splitting in 1999. The couple never lived together.
Jackson has three children named Prince Michael I, Paris Michael and Prince Michael II, known for his brief public appearance when his father held him over the railing of a hotel balcony, causing widespread criticism.

A music promoter yesterday (Wednesday) sued to stop Michael Jackson from performing in London this year, claiming this would violate a prior contract.
New Jersey-based AllGood Entertainment Inc contends in the lawsuit filed in federal court in New York it signed a deal with the singer’s manager, Frank DiLeo, in November committing him to an appearance in the U.S. this summer.
Under the agreement, the famous singer Jackson is not supposed to give another concert before that show, the lawsuit states. Jackson has signed with AEG Live to play 50 shows at London’s O2 Arena starting in July.
AllGood Entertainment contends those shows violate the New Jersey company’s agreement with DiLeo, which it says predates the singer’s deal with AEG Live.
Representatives for Jackson and AEG Live were not immediately available to comment.
AEG Live, which is named in the lawsuit, has previously called AllGood Entertainment’s claims meaningless.
Jackson has been rehearsing in the Los Angeles area for the London shows.
AllGood Entertainment contends in its lawsuit its agreement with DiLeo also left the door open for Jackson to perform with other members of his show business family, which includes his brothers from the Jackson Five and sister Janet Jackson.
The company’s lawsuit alleges breach of contract, fraud and tortious interference with a contract. It seeks at least $20 million in compensatory damages and at least $20 million in punitive damages.
It also names as defendants Jackson’s production company, as well as DiLeo, his company and AEG Live’s parent company AEG, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Anschutz Company.
Jackson’s series of London shows have been touted as unprecedented. AEG Live says that, all together, the shows will gather the biggest audience ever to see an artist in one city.

Even though she finished at the 4th position of American Idol, Allison Iraheta has signed a record deal with 19 Recordings and Jive Records!
“I think I’m still in shock that this is happening,” Iraheta, now 17-years-old, who is the youngest contestant to make the top 12, said: “Getting to record my first album and this whole awesome experience is a dream come true!”
Simon Fuller - creator and executive producer-, said, “Allison is an incredible young singer. She is without a doubt one of the best teenage singers American Idol has ever discovered. We all watched Allison grow in confidence and stature as she performed each week on the show and we can only imagine how far this special girl can continue to blossom in the years ahead.”
Barry Weiss, the CEO of RCA/Jive label group also commented on Iraheta, who is the daughter of Salvadoran immigrants and lives in Downey, Calif. “Her bluesy, powerful voice, spunky attitude, and edgy star power immediately captivated us and it didn’t matter where she ranked on Idol,” he said in the statement, “we knew we wanted her to join our amazing crop of young talent at Jive.”
Iraheta will join the other American Idol winner Kris Allen and Adam Lambert who both announced record deals this week.
Her album is expected in the fall.
