The first sign of trouble was a mysterious clicking noise.

“What the [expletive] was that?” asks James Bland, 52, co-pilot of the Learjet carrying Travis Barker, DJ AM and others as the plane sped down the runway last year.

“I don’t know,” replies pilot Sarah Lemmon, 31, according to a cockpit recording released Friday of the plane’s final moments.

Seconds later, one of the pilots slammed on the brakes. Bland says, “Shut ‘em off” – it’s not clear what he wants shut down – and somebody asks, “What is going on here?”

Lemmon then utters an expletive just before one of the pilots radios to the control tower “Roll the [emergency] equipment, we’re going off the end.”

The Learjet then overshot the runway, crashed and burst into flames. Both pilots, Barker’s bodyguard as well as his assistant perished in the crash. Barker and DJ AM narrowly survived with severe burns.

Multiple lawsuits filed in the case are still pending, and the final determination of what caused the crash is still months away, investigators said.

Eerily, during an apparent routine safety check before takeoff, the two pilots discussed how to abort the flight in an emergency. Lemmon is heard saying, “We’ve got plenty of runway.”

To protect them, Venus Breeze, which named Rihanna the new spokesperson for the company’s Legs of a Goddess contest, has insured them with Lloyd’s of London for $1 million!

“I’m thrilled that Venus Breeze thinks my legs are award-worthy,” says Rihanna. A rep for Lloyd’s confirms it’s true.

Rihanna kicked off the Legs of a Goddess contest, a search for the woman with the most beautiful legs in America, in New York on June 8.

Volatile Oasis singer Liam Gallagher was involved in a “fight” with a fan last night, after pints of beer were thrown at him by members of the audience at a gig.

Liam Gallagher’s bad mood appeared to start after someone threw a bottle of water at him as he walked on to the stage at the start of the band’s two-hour set.

Pints of beer then began to rain down on him.

Before opening song Rock ‘N’ Roll Star Liam singled one fan out and asked,: “Is that some f*****g s***bag who’s throwing f*****g lager, can’t handle a soft a**e from f*****g Camden town? Well get on this f*****g student”.

He later picked up what appeared to be a coin on the stage and referred to the fan as “f*****g uni boy” and “fat boy” before telling him: “Here you are, student, if you want me to [go] offstage, don’t be throwing f*****g pound coins. Why don’t you try and come up here and f*****g make me come off? Alright d***head.”

Gallagher also changed the lyrics of several Oasis songs to reference the incident.

The frontman, known for his short fuse, blamed students in ’stupid pointy shoes’ for soaking the stage, before raging: “I hope you feel as uncomfortable as I feel.”

As he walked off to take a break, brother Noel, 42, told the crowd at Camden’s Roundhouse: “I think someone’s in a bad mood”, before he sang the brilliant Masterplan.

Noel then acted as peacemaker once again before playing Half The World Away, and telling the crowd: “ I think we all need to just calm down.”Here’s a slow one so we can calm down.”

The report says that at least one person is dead and seven injured after a part of Madonna’s “Sticky and Sweet” stage set collapsed Thursday in Marseilles France, according to French police.

“I am devastated to have just received this tragic news,” the singer said in a statement Thursday through her spokesperson Liz Rosenberg. “My prayers go out to those who were injured and their families along with my deepest sympathy to all those affected by this heartbreaking news.”

The accident happened during construction of the stage for Madonna’s show at the Velodrome Stadium at 5:15 p.m. french time when the roof accidentally fell in.

Police and firemen have closed the stadium while trying to rescue those who were still trapped.
