Right after defeating Andorra 6-0, Brittish soccer star David Beckham begun a new underwear campaign for Giorgio Armani fashion label.

Beckham said that he was “proud but a little embarrassed” by the colossal picture of himself in nothing but a pair of tight, black briefs emblazoned with the Emporio Armani eagle logo, which now stand over London’s Oxford Street retail hub.

Beckham, 34, is currently on loan to AC Milan from the Los Angeles Galaxy soccer team,and Victoria (one of the Spice Girl), stripped down before for Armani campaigns too.

The photograph shows the English sex symbol naked except for the underpants, perched on a chair with his legs spread. A braided rope is draped around his torso and partially covers his tattooed arms.

“He’s gorgeous,” said one of hundreds of fans who turned up to witness Beckham’s three-minute appearance despite the huge crowd there in London.

People were mostly appreciative of the photograph, though some were more impressed by his football prowess than the media hype for this latest underwear campaign.

“I preferred him last night on the pitch,” said 8-year-old Ben-Jasper from Germany, who stumbled upon the crowd of onlookers while exploring London on a family holiday.

Beckham “naked” for Armani again !

The Queen of Beauty Carrie Prejean, who is famous by taking a stand against gay marriage at the Miss USA pageant, has been fired as Miss California for violating her contract, yesterday (Wednesday).

Carrie Prejean, who almost lost her Miss California crown last month because of the same-sex marriage story and revelations that she had posed topless at 17 years old, failed to fulfill her duties.

“This was a decision based solely on contract violations including Ms. Prejean’s unwillingness to make appearances on behalf of the Miss California USA organization,” Keith Lewis, the pageant’s executive director, said in a statement.

The pageant Donald Trump, who had stood by Prejean, 22 years old said:

“I told Carrie she needed to get back to work and honor her contract with the Miss California USA organization and I gave her the opportunity to do so,” Trump said in the statement.

“Unfortunately it just doesn’t look like it’s going to happen and I offered Keith my full support in making this decision,” he said. “Carrie is a beautiful young woman and I wish her well as she pursues other interests.”

Pageant officials said first runner-up Tami Farrell would assume the crown and take over Prejean’s duties as Miss California.

She answered that “in my country, in my family, I do believe that marriage should be between a man and a woman, no offense to anybody out there. But that’s how I was raised.”

Her views, and the strident reaction to them, came in the midst of heated nationwide debates over same-sex weddings which have recently been legalized in five U.S. states but banned in a California referendum in November.

Prejean defended her answer while acting as a fill-in host on the “Fox and Friends” program on the Fox network. She said her position was similar to that taken by President Barack Obama.

“If you know how to take control of [becoming a sex symbol], then it can be powerful,” the actress, 22 year-old, tells a source in its June issue. “But I have no idea how to handle it yet, how to deal with it.”

Still, the Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen star, who graces the magazine’s cover flashing a black garter belt, says she has a plan a,d that she knows exactly what she’s not going to do.

“I don’t want to have to be like a Scarlett Johansson – who I have nothing against,” she tells the source, “but I don’t want to have to go on talk shows and pull out every single SAT word I’ve ever learned to prove, like, ‘Take me seriously, I am intelligent, I can speak.’ I don’t want to have to do that. I resent having to prove that I’m not a retard – but I do. And part of it is my own fault.”

“I’m just really confident sexually, and I think that sort of oozes out of my pores,” she adds. “It’s just there. It’s something I don’t have to turn on.”

Concerning her private life, Fox doesn’t talk about her ex-fiancé Brian Austin Green, saying only that she’s “at a really vulnerable point in my life,” referring to the couple’s announcement in February that they were calling off the engagement.

“I don’t know how I feel or think about anything right now, and I feel like I’m under a microscope,” she says. “Normally I love playing the game, but that’s when I’m in an assertive place. I’m not there right now.”
